If you want to be treated like royalty and get the best value for your money, come to the White Horse. It was my husband's birthday, but I never hoped that staying in a hotel could make this day so special. Needless to say that the hotel itself is magnificent, the room was fantastic, very beautiful and comfortable etc. But it's the staff's work and the management's choices that make this place stand out. At the pub's restaurant we were served delightful and adventurous (and very moderately priced) 100% vegan food (vegan English pie!!!) coupled with two free glasses of Prosecco for the occasion (they kindly replaced them with drinks of our choice since we don't drink), which made our evening. The room was full of charm, had a lot of treats for the evening tea and a hand-written card, and in general the hotel kept pleasantly surprising us at every corner. The full English breakfast was also adapted for our vegan needs. I'm looking forward to coming back and giving my parents-in-law a gift stay as well, because after our visit I can be sure to recommend this place to the most special people and be sure they will have the time of their lives here. Thank you for making my husband and me so happy on his special day!

There is a very unique and calming atmosphere at this place. It felt like being transported back to Jane Austin times in a good way without being at all twee or kitshy. We loved every second, the food was greayt too. We took the local train into London for a day there. Perfect.

Room was great, suitable for a four star. Breakfast was, of course, very English. Dinner, a la carte, was great. All the people working there was agreeable, constantly smiling, even charming. Every single one. I used to run a hotel and I could only dream of having that good of a team around me back then. The grounds? Well, it offered me a great way to relax. It has beautiful scenery and a lot of green, some from parts of the world far away. I wouldnt stay any other place near Gatwick.

The location is amazing. Beautiful grounds and aesthetic views. Nature all around 😍 Breakfast was tasty and really good value for the money! Will definitely come back when in the area.
