Magpie's Lodge was a warm and welcoming bed & breakfast. The owners Jane & Kevin made us feel as if we were visiting in a friend's home. Our room was spacious and had a lovely seating area, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had plenty of room. There was a lovely garden with tables and seats for relaxing, which our room looked out on. Parking was easy and inside their gate. The wifi was easy to use and secure, a television was available, and a refrigerator with fresh milk and water for making tea or coffee in your room. Jane's breakfast had lots of choices - and could not have been more tasty! Slinfold was nearby - and Jane's directions made it easy to find the property. This was an absolutely beautiful, relaxing, and comfortable place to stay. Our favorite of our travels!

It is a very beautiful location. Out bed was very big and comfortable and we had a lovely bath. The room was very clean. For the price of our stay we had access to the gym, pool and sauna facilities which were great. The breakfast was exceptional especially the cooked breakfast. My partner said the sausage and bacon were very good quality. We didn’t book for dinner at the hotel but they kindly found us a table which we appreciated.

The location is well isolated from the nearby dual carriageway, has a large visitor's centre at the front of the building, with mainly rear-facing hotel rooms, surrounded on three sides by the vineyard and some very pleasant hills. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas with very pleasant staff and delicious food, albeit the menu choices were quite limited. The room was very pleasant with a decent TV, modern bathroom, coffee machine, sockets near the bed, plenty of wardrobe space, and mini fridge with complementary milk.
