Brilliant stay at Lincoln House. We stayed for a week and the property had everything and more we could have needed. Well maintained, cosy and homely. The pictures don’t do the place justice! We were very impressed.

Damon's hotel exceeded our expectations on every level. The room was excellent, with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. Whilst we didn't eat at the accompanying restaurant, we did use the bar, which, like the hotel, was excellent value for money. We will stay here again, and we will make more use of the onsite facilities.

Lincoln is a beautiful historic city to explore and the Poplars is well located in the old part of town with a short cut up to the castle and parking available if booked ahead. Facilities are good, the room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. Added extras like home made teabags were a lovely touch. The host is very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. They make a lot of effort to have local produce and artisan goods.

For those with a car, there is off-street parking although a little 'squashy'. The cost was remarkably low; ideal for a short working stay, say for a company employee with a task to complete. It's only a few minutes drive to the city car parks (too far to walk). There appear to be plenty of city busses. The breakfast items were well-thought-out; more than we needed.

    Fantastic location between the Castle and the Cathedral. The hotel is currently being renovated to a high standard and it is not the finished article yet. The "cosy double" was indeed very small but the bathroom and shower were really nice. All the staff were lovely and the breakfast plentiful and cooked to order. Also liked the cocktail bar which was very stylish.
