Great location, clean, peaceful, terrific staff

We had travelled as a family of 4 (two adults + 2 kids) and stayed in a Junior suite. The property is relatively new and very well maintained. The room was certainly value for money. Hot water is available round the clock. Junior suite also has a bathtub. Internet connectivity is really good, and the in room TV is a Smart TV where you can connect your OTT accounts and enjoy. The staff were courteous and accommodated our requests promptly. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good mix of south indian and north indian varieties. The idlis were very soft and tasty unlike many other hotels we have been to. Dosas were also like the ones you eat at home. Special call out to Mani (part of the restaurant staff) who was helpful with all our requests. Kids enjoyed the place. The park has a trampoline as well. Indoor games are well maintained. They have an evening bonfire every day. Overall, a great place to stay in and we would love to visit again.

Everything but the behaviour of staff was very good

The hotel staff made sure we were comfortable the whole time we were there. They were nice and made us feel at home. At night, we had a bonfire where families came together to talk and laugh under the stars.

Perfect for a relaxing stay with family. We stayed in the Woodpecker and 'Nilgiri Pipit' rooms of Teanest Nightingale Annex. The rooms are spotless, spacious and very cosy. The Nilgiri Pipit room especially is massive, featuring a climb-up loft and additional bed, comfortably housing 4 people. View is absolutely gorgeous from the top rooms of the Annex, since it is located at a higher elevation than the other rooms. We did not have a balcony, although it wasn't a big drawback as the windows can be opened. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are non smoking and pets are not allowed. Service: simply superb. These guys seem to have perfected hospitality, and our needs at the Annex were catered to by the two gentlemen Mr Rajnikanth and Manikandan. They would listen to every request keenly and provide a quick service. Hats off to Mr Rajnikanth and team for the excellent service and I believe this is the highlight of my stay. Food was another thing I should mention. Delicious, lip smacking dishes made fresh to order. Just make sure you communicate your order in advance for lunch and dinner and it's served hot. If you are vegetarian I highly recommend the dishes like sambar, dal, poriyal, paneer butter masala and the soft phulkas. They even made us fruit bowls upon request as my parents were on a diet. We loved the generous breakfast of south Indian fair like Idlis, Pongal, Pooris and freshly made to order Dosas, Omelettes and Aloo Parathas. Things to do: Well, since Teanest is located inside an estate, in the mornings they have estate walks and bird watching at 6 AM. However, apart from Kodanad estate, the area doesn't really have many attractions. But I feel that's a good thing for couples and families simply looking to relax and unwind in the cool climate and beautiful views. We spent most of our time playing cards in the common area, board games, badminton or simply lounging in the hammocks and looking out at the rolling hills.

Review of Club Mahindra Derby Green Ooty I had a wonderful stay at Club Mahindra Derby Green Ooty. Rooms: Spacious and well-maintained, with a creative sitting area featuring a sofa in front of the room. The rooms are clean and come equipped with a microwave. However, the TV size could be improved. Staff: Excellent service from Praveen, Damnic, and Justin. Their hospitality made the stay even more comfortable. Sightseeing Package: Purchased a sightseeing package from the resort, which included a Mahindra SUV with a driver-cum-guide, Shiva, who was very polite and supportive throughout the journey. Recreational Activities: Enjoyed outdoor games like archery and shooting, along with access to an indoor games zone and adventure games. Overall, a great experience with a perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Highly recommended for families and nature lovers!
