Amazing view from the hotel on the mountains and the waterfall. Breakfast is really good and you can enjoy the view meanwhile. Clean and large room with hot water, very friendly staff and family! The father drove me to Yala national park and also visited multiple waterfalls afterwards so had a great day trip!

Great place with amazing view and super friendly owner. Extremely useful. Nothing seems to be a problem for him when it comes to welcoming and entertaining guests. Rooms are clean and spacious with efficient AC. His mother did our laundry and refused to charge extra for it. We are really grateful for that and his recommendations for places to visit.

What a lovely little place. Super easy to access and just tucked off of the main road. Please note - use the Google Maps link that the hosts send, as we searched 'Wood Chalets Ella' on Google Maps and it takes you to a different property a few kms away, way up in the hills (this is the case at the time of writing but I flagged it with the hosts and they were looking to rectify the issue). The hosts could not do enough for us and provided a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning, which we ate on the terrace. As for the cabin itself, there has obviously been a lot of thought put into its design. It has tea/coffee making facilities (which is always welcome!), the bed is comfy and there are plug sockets on either side of the bed. They also had space for us to park our tuktuk. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The hotel has great location in beautiful nature on the mountain with fantastic view. All people working there are very friendly and helpful. On the rooftop there are viewpoint where you can looke sunrise and sunset. Personal will organize tuk tuk for you when ever you need to go Ella or elsewhere. Or you can just take sun and swim in hotel pool area with fantastic view and climate. The climat is there better than in the south coast because of the fresh humid air.
