The photos and information about the hotel didn't really give an idea about the view and proximity to the beach. But once we reached and saw it, found it awesome. You could seat in the balcony of a sea facing room for hours or just come out of the hotel and take a stroll to enjoy the sea. A very well laid out and well maintained hotel. The GM went out of the way to meet us, look after us and even offered to upgrade the room which we politely refused because the sea facing room offered itself was so good. The breakfast was elaborate and excellent. Even the dinner and drinks were too good.

I really liked the hospitality from stuff, cleanliness and variety of food. Kelvin the waiter, Ferida the housekeeping lady were exceptional not forgetting Maria the breakfast lady. We loved them for the duration of our stay. The pool was always clean and my sister was always there enjoying it.

All the staff were very friendly: Bruce the GM and Jerome his deputy went out of their way to introduce themselves and welcome us to the Hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The reception organised a pick up from the ferry terminal and transport to the airport. The hotel is close to the various foreign embassies. It's close to the national museum which is worth a morning visit. And It feels safe to walk to the supermarket (a few mins away) or going the other direction it's about a 20mim walk to the centre. But Tuk Tuks are cheap and generally easy to find. The swimming pool although not deep, is a lovely oasis in the city. really enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very polite and attentive, and the rooms were absolutely spotlessly clean! It was by far the best breakfast in Africa! A lovely touch with Homemade granola & even detox juice along with a great selection to sit every tastebud!! Fantastic!

    Modern and extremely clean, very courteous staff, very nice suites with AC and amazing views on the harbour. Very comfortable beds and powerful hot showers. We also liked the gym and the refreshing pool. Very convenient location to explore the historical town by foot. Central and close to many shops and restaurants, and to the ferry crossing to Zanzibar & airport. We recommend!

    The room is quite spacious with a comfy bed and tasteful decoration and the bathroom is very clean and modern (just attention: the description of the different rooms on booking are all from the executive suite; the deluxe and superior rooms don't have the hot tub mentioned in their description!). The breakfast is really good and offers a great variety of continental, indian and african food. Also the location is good if you want to take the ferry to Zanzibar as it is only a short walk to the port.
