We had the most blissfully relaxing stay at Alum House. We were greeted by Ducky and the wonderful Michelle and made to feel so welcome. We loved the wood fire heated hot tub under the stars with the sound of owls in the trees. We slept so well on the comfy bed and the sound of the babbling brook nearby. This was such a magical stay and we will make sure to book again through their website.

Absolutely gorgeous Everything about the property was delightful The beds where so comfortable and how it had been kitted out was great Unusual and quirky with everything you need! The views were amazing looking out the bedroom windows and sitting out around the fire pit I came with my mum who’s in her late 70’s and she was so happy with lovely dog walks right on your door step We came in March so it was cold and had a very mixed bag of wind rain snow and sun but the log burner kept us snug Bruce was lovely and showed me how everything worked on arrival so super helpful and we had a delicious welcome pack filled with bread bacon eggs tomatoes butter coffee tea and a few more bits Highly recommend if you like off grid peace and tranquility

The hosts were really friendly and the setup was really cosy. Great atmosphere in a lovely location. Very easy to get to Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay from there too.
