Glamping Sites in Dakhla

Dar Tawarta was perfect! The places is relaxing with a beautiful natural vibe of trees, fruit trees, animals and birds. The food is amazing, using produce from the garden with delicious meals cooked from the heart that were better than any of the other restaurants in the area. The rooms are a beautiful rustic Moroccan style and comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The owners are so friendly and hospitable, they have done an incredible job to make Dar Tawarta the perfect relaxing stay.

I came to Dakhla for kitesurfing and everything worked perfectly staying at Dunes de Dakhla. The hotel is located in the desert, but being one of the 6 hotels from Dakhla Hospitality Group there are free transfers between the hotel and Dakhla Attitude, which is the most recommended kitesurfing camp, also owned by the group. It’s quite magical to sleep in the desert, kite, and then get back to the hotel. The ride is around 20 minutes. lFor me the transfer in the morning was around 10 and the transfer back was super flexible based on my schedule. To take kiting lessons at Attitude you can simply show up (they are organized in packs of 2hrs with starting times at 09:00, 11:00, 14:00 and 16:00) and you’ll get assigned to an instructor based on your level (although you can prebook for 10% discount). Staying at les Dunes you arrive in time for the 11am start. The staff is extremely friendly, i was well taken care of by Mohamed and Mr Yousef, the hotel manager. Rooms are nice and well kept. some reviews mention that the water is sulfuric and smells - that’s true, but no harm in that. it’s water that comes from the ground Food is good and abundant (Italian speaking here, my opinion counts 😉) Overall, highly recommended combo as long as you’re fine with having a bit less flexibility as you’re not staying in the lagoon (thought it would bother me but in the end I really enjoyed this setup).

My stay at North Lagoon was nothing short of magical. I am deeply grateful for his incredible generosity and the care he took to ensure my stay was perfect. Whether it was arranging activities, offering local tips, or simply chatting, Hamza's warmth made my stay feel even more personalized and special. The food at North Lagoon was really, really good—every meal was a delight, showcasing the local flavors and fresh ingredients. It was clear that a lot of love and expertise went into every dish, making dining here a highlight of my stay. My time there wouldn’t have been complete without the exhilarating kiteboarding lessons from Driss. As a coach, he is patient, skilled, and incredibly encouraging. He made learning this thrilling sport not only achievable but also fun. Driss has a way of instilling confidence in his students, and I left each session feeling more accomplished and excited. Amy, the cleaning lady, was always so friendly and thorough, ensuring that everything was spotless and comfortable. Her hard work behind the scenes did not go unnoticed and added to the overall sense of care and attention to detail. A special shoutout also goes to Bashir, Abu Bakri, and Ousman, who were always ready to lend a hand with a smile. Their dedication and hard work ensured that every aspect of my stay was seamless, from the impeccably maintained rooms to the beautiful surroundings.
