The road to Abu Simbel is close for tourists at 5pm so if you arrive in Aswan late (between 4-5 pm)to be pickup by a taxi, is impossible you can go to Abu Simbel, is better you stay one night in Aswan and Next day Go. The rooms are understandably basic but comfortable to sleep in, and it's only a short walk from the public ferry. Remember to bring your own toiletries!

The people and owner of the place is very welcoming and you get to experience the nubien in the perfect way. The place is located at the border to the dessert so its very calm but still have only 10 minutes walking to the nil. The breakfast was super and they offer great lunch and dinner, real nubian food.

He gave us many tips for our further travels backpacking around Egypt. Also, they don't rip you off on water here! Buy your water there, everywhere else they see you are a tourist and you will pay 5 times the price.
