Staying in Molino Tejada has been an extraordinary experience. The room we had was in a beautiful old stone building with wooden rafters. Echoing the owner’s area of expertise, it is decorated with exceptional taste. It also has a minimalist kitchenette, with coffee provided. There are communal rooms to relax in - one with a giant screen and another decorated with instruments and other objects, which has a glass floor to reveal the river that flows beneath it. There are books and objets d’art everywhere. We paid for the breakfast which is excellent. In the evenings there is a space outside where food and drinks are served. It is set in a truly magical place and very near many places of exceptional beauty.

The tent I stayed in had everything I needed and the mattress was incredibly comfortable. I also especially liked the hangout areas with the hammocks, where you can watch the sunset over the water. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely stay here again, and I will recommend it to anyone walking the Camino del Norte.

Cute tants with everything you need - even with fridge, place to hang cloths, a lot of el. sockets. It is located at the back of the camping where are mostly Spanish people with caravans. You can drive your car through all the camp and park it next to tants. It was raining all night and I could barely notice. Bathrooms are not far, quite clean considering it is camp. There are some swimming pools, that we couldnt use because of the weather. Restaurant in camp was nice, quite good food for good money. Close to winery Bodegas y Viñedos Miradorio de Ruiloba with many local products.

Located in the Cantabrian countryside just 4 km from Comillas, Camping El Helguero offers an outdoor pool, children’s playground and restaurant. Each wooden bungalow has a private bathroom and a well-equipped kitchenette. Victor, the owner of this campsite, did everything he could for us. He opened the already closed store and we were able to buy everything we needed for dinner. In addition, he offered us freshly baked bread. Thank him very much!
