We stayed here only for a night before driving into Kruger the next day, but it was such a good evening. When we arrived we immediately jumped into the refreshing pool and had a chat and a beer with the other people who stayed at the lodge. Then the owners of the lodge prepared an amazing braai for us and we ate together with everyone who stayed there, which was so cozy! Highly recommend if you are looking for a familial vibe and cozy hangout with other travellers.

Umkumbe Bush Lodge - Luxury Tented Camp is a recently renovated luxury tent in Sabi Sand Game Reserve, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, garden and bar. The property was built in 2021 and features air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. They truly provided a once in a lifetime experience for us, getting close to animals and doing their best to take on any requests. Their local perspective, knowledge and stories added a unique twist compared to other game drives we've done. Never was the outgoing friendly Energetic personality while Mateo added a sense of safety in the bush. As mentioned they both have outstanding knowledge. Never's game drives are like a fun learning experience while driving through the African bush. Mateo has many years of experience in tracking and we enjoyed his in depth knowledge.
