Astrid is very responsive and replied within seconds whenever I messaged her. She even brought extra coffee beans for us to use in the super-fancy coffee machine. This is a really nice place in a great location if you want to do some hiking.

Even though, it's technically a "basement", there are plenty of windows and even access to the garden area. An extra bed was set up in the family room for our son. The owners, Bernd and Monika Stemmler, live above on the first floor. They are super nice people that have kept this place in immaculate condition. This is the first time we have stayed in an Air BNB style lodging but liked it very much and would consider staying here again in the future. Another nice aspect of the stay is the easy and quick access to a bakery and supermarket. We had a rental car and parking was no problem at Haus Muhlenbach either.

The trattoria is very good and we can recommend the menu with accompanying wines. To make things perfect is a underground garage with lift up to the reception and rooms.
