I had a wonderful stay at Fano Kroogard. This is lovely waterside boutique hotel on the island of Fano. It is perfectly situated on the North side of the island. It is 5 minutes by walk from the ferry and 20 minutes by bike to the beach, with bikes available to rent on site. The whole property has a calm and cozy ambience. There is a reading nook on the main floor, and a terrace overlooking the waterfront. The decor is so well done with so much attention to detail. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. If you manage to get a suite overlooking the water, you’ll be able to take in the wildlife of the Wadden sea, and see seals out your window. There is a restaurant on the main floor that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. As a hotel guest, the breakfast in the morning is a choice between several local inspired dishes. I had several different meals at the restaurant and every time the food was delicious. For lunch they offer traditional open sandwiches and for dinner several vergetable and seafood entrees. The restaurant is clearly a favourite spot on the island among locals, as it was always full. Above all, the staff is so lovely and they made my stay extra special. They upgraded me to a lovely room with a seaside view and provided excelled recommendations of things to do on the island. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

The apartment is located on a lovely property with a big lawn and lots of greenery. There is a small supermarket and some other small businesses nearby and also a cafe/bar/restaurant right on the property, though we didn’t have time to try the food there this time. Staff was super friendly and highly responsive. I forgot my bag in the apartment and realized this after checking out, but they came to unlock the door for me right away. The bed in the Amethyst Suite is incredibly comfortable - we wish we could have taken it with us! Everything was clean and tidy and just as described/shown in the pictures. We also loved that it’s a dog friendly property (dogs are 250 DKK) . The surrounding area is quiet and great for walking your dog. Overall we were super happy with the place and would like to return someday.

Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Ribe Cathedral is 200 metres away. The location was ideal…so close to the town square so we walked everywhere. The apartment had comfortable furniture and good cooking facilities with plenty of crockery and cutlery. Access to the washing machine and dryer were a bonus. It was a very quiet apartment… no noise from outside or other apartments.

The surroundings are wonderfully calm and beautiful. The property is really big, with beautiful gardens, trees and even a small lake. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy some quality time. The hosts, Hans-Peder and Lasse, are extremely friendly. They even came to meet us and make sure we were settled in. This is definitely a place we will visit again! Apart from relaxing and enjoying this wonderful location, there are many pleasant places to visit nearby. We cannot forget Hector either — their lovely dog that we met and became good friends with.

The apartments were clean and cozy, with plenty of beds. Woke up to beautiful sunrises each morning with the option of walking the beach. Just a few minutes from the center of Nyborg, there were plenty of food options nearby as well as museums and castles only a short drive away. Tables and kitchens stocked with dishes in each apartment allowed us to eat as a family when we did bring some things back instead of taking in the local restaurants.
