We had the absolute pleasure of staying at The McCleery Inn for 4 nights, and it truly felt like a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our gracious hosts, Sheldon and Eileen, who have clearly poured their hearts into creating an exceptional guest experience.

These two private rooms are located underneath a home in the quiet leafy suburb of Dunbar. We each had one room, each with an ensuite and comfortable bed. We loved sitting outside looking at the beautiful garden and going for walks in the Pacific Spirit Park at the end of the street. Easy to get to UBC, the airport and Swartz ferry terminal. The hosts occasionally came through the common area to get to the laundry, but mostly we had it to ourselves. The microwave, bar fridge, kettle and coffee machine meant we could make our own meals. The hosts were very accomodating of our early arrival.

Lovely owner. Good space with storage in room and provisions, comfy bed and pillows. Lobby area to sit. Very clean and big kitchen, liked the bathrooms (one was very luxurious!) no need to queue. Oakridge is a pleasant suburb area - parks to north and east. 03 bus gets you to the city or just fancy restaurants quickly and the city line to the west is a 5-10min walk. I found some gluten free outlets and bars in walking distance, neat.
