This is a small inn right in the historical center of Lijiang, just off one of the main streets. The staff is extremely friendly, where you are welcomed with tea and fresh fruit. They helped me out with everything, really impressive. The room is very comfortable with all amenities you can expect. I’ll come back when I have the opportunity!

Carol and Johnson went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable. They linked us up with private hire drivers who drove us from Tiger Leaping Gorge to Lijiang, as well as from Lijiang to Dali. Johnson also helped us book tickets for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (can only be purchased the night before through local WeChat accounts), and even went with us to the ticket counter at Lijiang Romance Park as Chinese ID was required to collect tickets. The breakfasts they prepared were warm, nourishing Yunnan specialities. They had splendid recommendations for local restaurants and gifts to buy for the folks back home. They are generous, open-hearted people who love company and good conversations.

We loved our stay in Lijang. The Old Town is beautiful and the guest house was in a great location. The room was clean and very cute. The staff at Lewo Guest House were fantastic. They went over and above expectations during our stay. The staff on the desk helped us to organise day trips and getting to our next destination as well as ordering a birthday cake, too. Very friendly and helpful hotel operators with lots of tips for hiking routes. Both Chinese and English is spoken. The hotel is located 30 meters from the main shopping street but still absolutely quiet. Clean rooms. It was a very pleasant stay. Baisha as one of the 3 old towns of Lijiang is the ideal starting point for hikes into the Yulong Mountains and yet not far from Lijiangs historical old town.
