Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.

Our host, Sam, was super hospitable. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and provide information about the area. The breakfast and dinner was delicious home cooked meals. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with lovely views. A yoga mat, tea room, mahjong table, guitar, traditional Hani costumes to try on for photos and books made our stay even more enjoyable. Sam even recommended some Chinese movies to watch :) We would go back based on his hospitality alone. Thank you!

the house is located in the quiet part of the village near the terraces and is clean and spacious. The owner Lucy is very kind and helpful lady with excellent english. She helped us with getting back our lost luggage from the airport, she helped us with booking transportation, she took us for a long scenic walk among the terraces and she is also a good cook. We had a great time at this place!
