Everything was great and the price-quality ratio is simply outstanding. The room was very clean and cozy (more than it appeared from the pictures), the food was excellent, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Of course the locations right on the beach is lovely and strongly increases your chances or seeing whales and turtles! It is true that the tide makes the hotel inaccessible at some hours, but as far as we understood this is the same for all hotels located on the beach. Moreover, the owners helped us to know at what time we needed to leave every time we went on an excursion or when we left. So finally it was not too problematic thanks to them.

I can't recommend this place enough. The place was gorgeously built, felt like staying in a huge treehouse. We were greeted by the owner at the entrance and throughout our entire stay the owners there made us feel that we were amongst old friends, they ensured a great atmosphere within everyone staying at the hostel, so we left after a few days with new friends. The location was perfect, a bit outside the village but with 10-15min walk to get to different restaurants. The place was 1 minute walk to the beach and close by there were many beautiful places to visit. The hostel offered many different tours as well as food every day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). The area in itself was nothing short of incredible, even though we went outside whale season, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Also it was one of the few places that offered wifi!

With garden views, Hakuna Matata Ecolodge is located in El Valle and has a restaurant, full-day security, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice common area to have a drink, chat with other travellers or just chill. We stayed in a small hut that was very comfortable considering you're in the middle of nowhere. We even had our own terrace. They take good care of the place and the gardens. IMO much better than the Pelican where we'd spent a few nights before..

PRIMITIVO LODGE & dive center is a recently renovated guest house in Bahía Solano, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. A public bath is available for guests.

It was an amazing experience, full immersion in the nature. You can only reach this gem by boat. Waking up with the sound of the waves. Fresh fish every meal. We did various tours organised by the staff. Adrian and Lina are wonderful, always ready to help and share their knowledge with us. They organised for us the whale tour, we saw the whales and the dolphins as well, it was breathtaking. There are 3 dogs and a beautiful cat in the hostal, super sweet.
