It is close to the port what allows you to take easily the ferry. The staff was so nice, she helped us a lot by calling some places we needed to call because we didn’t have a SIM card. The food of the restaurant was very tasty and good.

Beautiful property, very well run by Hannelore and her friendly professional staff Superb views from the roof terrace, beautiful room, enjoyable breakfast (particularly the lentil pancakes), good WiFi, laid back vibe and we also enjoyed the dinner very much. The property specialises in vegan food. As a vegetarian I enjoyed it. My only criticism overall would be the room and dinner are a bit overpriced (for backpacking not short holidays) although with only a handful of rooms I understand this. If you don't want to dine on the roof terrace, which is very enjoyable, you can always go elsewhere. Overall, a lovely place to stay which perfectly compliments the absolutely outstanding Paul Valley.

There's no better place to stay in Santo Antão. Very beautiful house close to all the restaurants in Paul and many amazing hikes nearby. The owner lives in the same house with his family and you get to sit with them for breakfast which is cooked freshly every day (pancakes with papaya jam, fresh banana and papaya juice, local goat cheese, omelette,..). I cannot recommend staying here enough - we wanted to stay for one night only but ended up staying three. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. If we ever come back to the island, Luz d'Sol is where we will go!

Casa Santa Barbara Deluxe is situated in Ribeira Grande and has a private pool and pool views. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.

Fernanda & Emmanuella and their staff were really kind warm and welcoming. They have a beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds around it to relax and enjoy the magnificent vibrant coloured flowers, shrubs and trees in the grounds. Extra towels were offered for us to lie outside on. Breakfast was outside in a covered area where little birds flew on and out. Lots of options with juice, fresh fruit, cold meat, cheese with bread rolls and cooked omelettes and various sweet and savoury treats. I expected not to be happy about sharing a bathroom but it was like we had our own bathroom as close as in a hotel and we never saw the people who we apparently shared it with. So don't be put off by the shared bathroom. We had about a 7 minute walk to have dinner out in local restaurant, Bellcantoo in Ribiera Grande. We were allowed to swim in the pool and sit around until well past checkout time as we had a taxi booked for 2pm. Wonderful hospitality.

THE RETREAT in Monte Joana provides accommodation with a garden and a bar. Boasting a housekeeping service, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace.

It is simply the hotel with the most beautiful view I have ever had. I travel a lot and use Booking a LOT, but honestly nothing could beat this... The landscape around the Retreat is simply magical. The dinner and breakfast were great, the pool too and the beer and grogue too. If you want to be cut off the world for one/several nights and really relax, don't even hesitate to choose this place!

Wahnon Guesthouse is situated in Paul. The guest house has family rooms. Some units have a terrace and/or a balcony with mountain views.

A very nice guesthouse in a beautiful garden. The location is great. Mercaderias and restaurants in walking distance. Sonia and Nuno the host are really friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Would come again.

The room is comfortable. I live on the rooftop, there are also lounge chairs. The breakfast is so nice. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Great location in this cute town - next to some nice places to eat and with views of the mountains and coast. Also in a good location to do the hike to Fontanillas. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and the area is quiet at night - with the window open you can hear the sea. Also, a lovely breakfast.

Located in Ponta do Sol, Música do Mar features a bar. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge.
