We booked Die Bäckeralm for one night to travel the next day further to Croatia. The host was very friendly. At arrival he greeted us already knowing who we were. It is a small place with a few apartments, so he knows who's coming, but it's nice and you feel welcome. Nice beds, quiet surroundings and a nice breakfast makes the stay complete. We got good advice about the surroundings and where we could get a bite to eat. Nice restaurants nearby with quality food and very good prices. In short: perfect stay.

We loved the place because it was close to main attractions but off the beaten path in a quieter location of Fischbachau which we LOVED! The space is very cozy and comfy. The dinner was great. We enjoyed the most amazing landscape and the animals as well. I would highly recommend staying here¡

A relaxing property in a lovely spot with great views. Rooms very clean with all amenities . The dinner and breakfast were excellent with selection from a menu the night before. The balcony is great for evening dinner and would be in the warmer months for breakfast. Off road parking for our motorbike and we had everything we needed. It was also easy to find with our GPS. Wished we had stayed longer - maybe next time !

Perfect location very near to the station with stunning views at the lake and mountains. Quiet nights for very comfortable sleeping. Very friendly staff Beautifully decorated rooms with perfect cleanliness, nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. Rich and delicious breakfast with freshly prepared food.

It is located close to the centre of the town and to the rehabilitation facility where I was visiting a friend. It’s also close to the motorway. The room was clean, breakfast really nice and service good. WiFi was stable - I needed to work while there. There are plenty of options to go for a run or a hike.

The location cannot be beat; mountains on all sides. The dining room is upscale rustic, very charming. Staff very friendly and helpful, food fresh and interesting. The most comfortable comforter on the bed that I've ever had. Loved that our room for 4 had a door for privacy for adults. Shower also great. We hiked Wallberg (bring spikes in winter), and did some sledding (we borrowed their wooden sleds). The whole weekend was cloudy at the lake but not where we were: above the clouds in the sunshine! Staff brought a nice cake for birthday, a surprise.

The location is ideally nestled in nature, with easy access to the city center. The surroundings are tranquil, offering a refreshing sense of calm. From our room, we enjoyed breathtaking views of the sunrise and the (little) snow-capped Alps. While the breakfast menu is modest, it’s perfectly satisfying. We particularly appreciated the locally sourced offerings, especially the delicious homemade yogurt.
