A simple, yet very cozy stay in the historic city of Leisnig. You just call the owner when you get there, get the keys, and then you are greeted with a simple, straight forward and clean room. The owner spoke English, which was of great help for understanding her instructions. The apartments are from a walkable distance to the castle of Leisnig. For the price, it’s a steal!

Ideally situated on the outskirts of Colditz, a 10 minute walk into the town along a peaceful road. Friendly management, lovely cooked breakfast, two very nice dogs. Lift to the 2nd floor. A little museum of DDR stuff was cool too. Drinks and snacks available and you pay for them with cash when you leave. On the day of departure we left our bags there and when we returned the man very kindly dropped us off at the bus stop at the Sportsplatz.

For the first time in our lives, we spent the night in a tower room on the third floor of a castle. From there we had a view in three directions. The next day we visited Colditz, which is interesting not only because of the Allied POWs that were held there.
