Karen might be the single most helpful host I've ever had (and I've had a lot)! She was SO accommodating and quick to help. The room was comfy, kitchen handy, and there are two gorgeous dogs too :-)

The location is amazing - the terrace in front of the rooms has a wonderful view of the ocean. There is a possibility to cook your own food on the terrace. The ocean is 100 steps away and in the mornings there is a fish market. Right there you can buy fresh fish from the fishermen. The hostess Heidi is an excellent communicator and is very helpful in discovering the attractions in the surrounding area. Feel free to ask in English too!

The rooms are nice and spacious with comfortable beds and beautiful custom art. The showers have hot water on demand. The staff are absolutely fantastic -- breakfast was always delicious and the staff were super friendly and always made me feel as though I was at home. Jhon, the host, makes great meals and cocktails and helped organize day trips for good prices. All in all, a really great place to get out of the city and relax.

The hotel was super welcoming and I loved being able to watch the sunset over the ocean from my bed. I was travelling alone, so the hotel was in a great spot to be able to walk to everything safely in Ayampe. The cafe was great and even out of season I really enjoyed everything about it. They we really accommodating when I wanted to go to yoga in the mornings and have a later breakfast and super helpful with lower-cost airport transfers and local recommendations. I loved it so much I returned a week later. You can't beat the view! Perfect if you surf too as they have boards you can use.
