Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.

Excellent option for a one night stay to visit the Temples of Abu Simbel.
It is an excellent option for the money you pay, it's more like a guest house than a hotel.
It was clean and quiet, bathroom is shared, very close to where you need to take the bus to/from Aswan.
15 minutes walking distance to Abu Simbel Temples.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet side street, from where you can walk to the 2 temples of Abu Simbel in around 20 minutes. The host is very friendly and generous, for example bringing coffee/ tea or even something to eat at his own cost. He takes much care that you feel very well and I liked it much to talk with him. The room is clean, the bed good, but you should not expect a luxurious room.
If you arrive by plane there is bus transfer to your accomodation free of charge.
