This place is great. Really clean and fresh. Good bed and shower. Perfect location in old town and 30 seconds from the big beach. I would come back and stay anytime. Wonderful staff. Anyone who complains obviously should have stayed at home!

The room is clean and very cosy, mine had a tiny balcony with flowers on it which would make me smile every morning. The shower is spacious and cutely decorated. The location is just perfect - few minutes to the beach, few to the mountains, and you are right in the middle of the historical city centre - yet nothing bothers your sleep! Just perfect! In addition to all this, the host is very friendly and welcoming, always ready to help and accommodate, while being flexible.

Pension Norte, a property with a shared lounge, is located in Portugalete, 1.4 km from Vizcaya Bridge, 7.8 km from Bilbao Exhibition Centre, as well as 12 km from San Mamés Rail Station.

Very nice place to stay we were so comfortable. The room was perfectly clean and the owner was very understanding to our delayed arrival.

New age accommodation, loved the concept. Nice size room, great kitchen to use and seating area. Washing machine and dryer, wow! We didnt use it. Easy to get bus into town no 18 to go to Guggenheim museum and 85 if near railway station. Plenty of free car parks near by. Rocket resturaunt was good value.

Value for money. I loved the closed wooden balcony (pic.). Make-up mirror in the bath. AC was excellent. Staff go out of their way to satisfy you. There was a misunderstanding with something I ordered for dinner. These things happen when you don't speak the native language. Even though I insisted on paying, they did not charge me. Very professional!! The most important of all - Congratulations to the chef ---- magnificent cuisine!!! ADVICE FOR PILGRIMS---treat yourself and go to Escalante. You don't have to stay in Laredo, Santoña, Noja, etc. Escalante is a 15min. bus ride away. Buses run all day. Check it out.

Situated in Santoña, La Mies del Marqués offers beachfront accommodation 200 metres from Playa de Berria and features various facilities, such as a garden and a bar.

Character property, comfortable and in marvellous location 3 minutes from the longest, cleanest beach I have ever visited. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Set 10-minutes walk away from the beach, Hostal Vista Alegre is situated in Castro-Urdiales, 35 km from Bilbao. Free private parking is available on site.

Best room rates, Really friendly staff, spotless clean large modren rooms, mine had a partial sea view, easy check in, pets allowed at no extra cost, free garage parking, big selection of breakfast included in the room rate, easy to walk or dive into town and only 20 mins drive to the ferry in Bilbao. Was the perfect place to stop before catching the ferry back to Ireland.
