Located right next to a very well priced Metro underground station and also a good selection of cafes for coffee and breakfast/tapas. No, this lodge does not offer food service nor self-catering. But this was a non-issue for us as we were in Bilbao to eat out, which was a fantastic experience. We were also there for the Guggenheim, also a must-see for anyone visiting Bilbao. Give yourself at least 4 hours in the museum. We were in there for 5 hours and it wasn't enough for us.

At first we had some troubles with online registration but when it' was done everything was perfect. The basic essentials but what else do you need when you're passing by? They bought us with bike stands inside the building with possibility to charge ebikes! We are ebikers so they got 10! Never seen anything like this!

Honestly didn't expect much from this place and was pleasantly surprised. The room was big, parking nearby, and since the neighborhood is residential, it doesn't feel unsafe. There are a bunch of playgrounds for the kids nearby. And a great chickenplace right down the road (Batzoki Erandio Goikoa). If you are visiting Bilbao by car, I would recommend.

I liked the quiet room, confortable matress, location. I am originally from Bilbao and a group of friends and myself decided to stay in Pensión Plaza Nueva. Highly recommend. Plaza Nueva is a great spot to have a few pintxos and drinks in the evening (Also during the day 😉).
