I had five lovely days at the Victoria. The room is very cozy, with every amenity I needed. The big window overlooks the church cemetery, and I found the scenery peaceful and calming. The landlords of the Inn are warm and kind. I dined at the inn (pub downstairs) too and loved the food. I loved coming down the stairs before bed and having a half pint of mulled cider! Everyone I met at the Inn was friendly. I felt home.

From start to finish our visit was amazing. Rina and Ian are lovely hosts who are both incredibly hard working. The property is well kept from inside and out with a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door to when you leave. All the food is also amazing and sourced locally which is an added extra bonus for me. Thank you Rina and Ian once again.

I hadn’t got the cooked breakfast, will do next time, was very happy and staff were very friendly. Will stay there again. So very central and the bus and train station were not far to walk. Had a lovely stay.

This is a gem tucked away in a beautiful country side, accessed by a long private drive where sheep grazed peacefully in the pasture alongside it. It does mean that you must have a car to get here. Parking is not a problem. There is a huge comfortable sitting and dining area which opens out to superb views of rolling fields and the occasional train passing by. The breakfast was excellent and the beds comfortable. We had a wonderful stay.

Everything about the stay was excellent. Hannah was extremely welcoming and helpful in introducing us to Burnsall and the district.
