Fantastic hotel in the middle of York. Friendly and attentive staff that are more than willing to help out. Rooms are modern and comfortable. I was in one of the basement rooms with vaulted brick ceilings, while a bit short near the walls (I'm 6'1"), I never had a problem and was very comfortable.

Set in a farmhouse from 1640, Georgian House & Mews is located in the heart of York, on the city walls. Free Wi-Fi access is available.

We were made to feel very welcome - nothing was too much trouble. Room was very comfortable and clean, with quality bedding and all the comforts. Breakfast was generous and tasty, with any option you wanted. The location was ideal for us - and we were given great local advice and suggestions. Appreciated the laundry service!

We've had an amazing stay in The Vanguard York! A week before our arrival, we received all check-in instructions and more via WhatsApp. After our arrival, the owner send us another text asking if everything was okay. We really appreciated that! The shower was amazing, it was clean, you could make tea, coffee or hot chcolate and there was a hair dryer to use. Also a TV with Netflix! The hotel was near the city center
