Loved so much about this independent hotel.Heracles is such a wonderful owner who takes pride in his beautiful establishment. He greeted us with refreshments, fresh juice and cake! Our room was spotless, like every other aspect of the hotel. Brand new washroom, balcony with a great view, clean and quiet...what's not to love! Make sure to order the breakfast- eggs from his chickens, marmalade from fruit picked in his yard, fresh blood orange juice from his own trees...absolutely delicious! Can't say enough about this place!

Host Christina and Mikhali so very friendly and helpful- fabulous hosts. Very clean, comfortable, well maintained. Little gifts of water, cake were appreciated. Everything we needed. 2 single beds supplied as requested. Fabulous view. Mosquitos screen perfect and could use air conditioning or window open.

First of all a very clean room with new comfort mattresses. Although sea view wasn't in the title of the room, the view looks like the photos. Awesome hospitality by Eleni and Viktor!

Lovingly renovated house with a beautiful garden (vine arbour, lemon-, orange- and pomegranate-trees). Very well maintained (inside and outside) with a lot of equipment and all comfort. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired. Each room is separately air-conditioned. An outdoor kitchen offers a very cosy place to cook and eat together. The hosts are very friendly and surprised us with special treats. On request, we were also given some "insider tips" for excursions, which were great for us. The host was available at all times and regularly came to clean the pool (announced his presence and asked for an OK to drop by). The location is great - less than 150 metres to the sea and the coastal promenade, yet very quiet. An automatic gate makes it easy to park on the property (hand transmitter was given to us with the house keys). We were very happy to have found this gem, it contributed greatly to our relaxation to be accommodated so well.

We booked at the Costas Inn at the last minute, when we realized we made a silly mistake and had booked our originally planned hotel for the wrong night. Oops! But what a happy mistake it was. We were welcomed so warmly. It felt like we knew the owners for years. The rooms are great, AC is cold, nice view from balcony. 2 The town of Spili is super nice, and well located close to major attractions (eg 20m drive to Preveli) Would love to come back and spend a week next time.

Situated within less than 1 km of Matala beach and 11 km of Phaistos, Pension Romantika features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Matala.
