We were 5 people booked 2 rooms. It was very good stay. Especially the village canoe cruise. We did kayaks and other boat Tour before but the village Tour organizef by Johnson's was the best. We had to travel almost 45 minutes to a peaceful village for this your inclided dinner. Very very good. Location also very very good. Beach near, town center not near but not far. We exttended our stay also.

This is the perfect stay if you are looking for time in nature and the backwaters. Room is comfortable, clean, and with AC - so you can relax perfectly in the room. The balcony is great too and offers direct view on the littler river. The host Lizza is kind and fun, always there to help, Plan trips, cook food for you. The whole house is so beautiful, so you will enjoy having breakfast/dinner on the long table in the Main hall. This place seems suitable for anyone: alone-traveller, backpackers, couples, familys with kids. They have a garden to hang out too! And best part: its only 10sec walk to the starting point of your boat trip (Lizza will arrange)! Then you can discover lakes, big rivers, small rivers and village life in the backwaters. Ask Lizza for a TukTuk (Autoriksha) drive through the little streets through this area, so you will see more small rivers with plants, more village life, rice plantages and local life :) This is the place to be! Its perfect for taking a walk too :) Thanks Lizza!

Gotra beach casa is very close to the beach and the room was very comfortable and clean, in addition there were also air-conditioned rooms. We were also able to use the kitchen and eat there some days. But what we liked the most was the owner Sulfikar. He is very professional, kind and friendly. He recommended us plans, restaurants, shops and he even took us by car to some place that was far away. We wanted to rest for a couple of days somewhere near the sea and we were so comfortable that we ended up staying for a month!! now, we leave here with a new friend and a wonderful experience. PS: we also recommend his houseboat, a very cool experience to do if you come to Alappuzha😁

Very clean room, beddings and modern bathroom also with warm water for shower (what is not common in Kerala). Quiet AC. Simple home made breakfast served, possibility to order dinner (dinner 500 INR). Comfy bed. Worth to mention that first time in Kerala I got not to hard pillow. Nice garden To beach, maybe 2 minutes walking.
