Everything - easy to find with clear signage, the hosts were lovely people, comfy beds, the room was spacious and extremely clean, shower had very good water pressure and was warm. Its about 15 min from Selfoss so really close to amenities but secluded at the same time. There is a fridge in the room for your own food, kettle and tea and a welcome biscuit. Easy parking just out front. We came a bit late around 10pm so didn't see the full kitchen but in the common corridor for the 2 guest rooms, there is a microwave and plates and cutlery for use probably because of those late check ins and snacks. So thoughtful!

I would definitely go there again. More beautiful than on the pictures, peaceful, good cooking area, nice places to chat whit other guests, clean, friendly owners, everything was good.

We arrived very late and the key was waiting for us, without any problem. The breakfast was lovely. The location was fantastic off the road in a quiet location but close enough to be able to drive to the local amenities.

Peacefully situated by Lake Villingarholt, Vatnsholt Bed & Breakfast is 16 km from Selfoss town centre. Impressive mountain views are featured.

Skálatjörn Guesthouse exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The guesthouse is set in a beautiful rural location, surrounded by stunning views – on a clear day, you can even spot glaciers on the horizon. It is the perfect base to explore South Iceland. Our room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We especially appreciated the small details: everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. What truly stands out is the hospitality. The hosts are incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to share advice or local insights. A very special highlight were the rare Icelandic goats that live on the property – gentle, curious animals that guests can visit daily. They are very friendly and love to be petted, which made our stay feel even more unique and memorable. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland.

We had an absolutely lovely two-night stay at this charming accommodation in Iceland. We were pleased to find that the accommodation was very well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location worked perfectly for our Iceland adventure, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest after our days of exploring this beautiful country. Veronique is a very very nice Host and did EVERYTHING to make sure our trip was worth it! This included receiving our lost luggage from the airline before we arrived in the accomodation. The Family Room we rented was very big, very clean and very nice. The kitchen was fully equiped, even with a dishwasher! The Hosts sell food and drinks if you need something (cheese, etc). Veronique even left us a nice note in our language (german) on the door. We loved this accomodation.
