Perfect place to stay. The rooms are very nice and quiet, with very nice views. The main building is very nice and cozy, nice decorated. We had dinner and breakfast there. It was super! And the hosts are lovely people.

The location was remote, half an hour to a city, 15 mins to a tiny town with a convenience story vs. a grocery store. But that suited me well. I like remote locations. Very peaceful and quiet - incredible view of mountain, river and meadows around me. Farmhouse behind the guesthouses far enough back that never heard anything from them. Never met the staff but they were super fast responsive to any questions or changes I made via the Booking.com messaging app. Little perfect kitchenette, bathroom (private!) and bed all in one cosy but not too cramped guesthouse. No shared facilities which is rare in this price point of Iceland guesthouses. I will return to Buholl 1 Guesthouse!

Sana was available, helpfull and very pleasant to deal with, but was only there when needed! Only down side was I did not notice the kitchen was shared between 2 apartments?

Amazing location, very comfortable, everything we needed, cozy, warm, beautiful surroundings. Amazing host. We've met the host on check-out, she was very welcoming and showed us their horses when we asked.
