Like the band's amplifier in the movie 'This is Spinal Tap', the rating for this accommodation should be "set on 11". It really is a special place. In the center of an ancient and charming Calabrian hill town, spacious, thoughtfully restored and decorated by the lovely young owners and a view from the large private balcony which is the Italy of your dreams. A generous and tasteful Italian (ie not North American) breakfast served in your anteroom. Situated half an hour from the coast in the old town or Tortora, this is a little hidden gem. Fabulous friendly hosts. Incredible breakfast which included home baked local goods and very reasonably priced evening meal (5 courses) featuring local cuisine. I wasn’t looking for this place . It was a stopover on my way through to Rome from the South. I will definitely be back. Excellent value for money Photos taken from top of the village at dusk of a misty winter evening.
