United KingdomKoukaso is a wonderful place to stay. The accommodation is scrupulously clean and the host polite and accommodating. He answered all my questions and even took a delivery of one of our bikes that got lost on its way from NZ.
There was a kitchen so I was able to cook my own breakfast and a lovely garden to sit out in.
I would highly recommend this place for solo travellers, couples, or family groups.

FranceKanayama-san is a fantastic host who raised the bar high for guesthouses, I very much enjoyed my stay at 旅人の宿人. I came to 宿人 during winter, and the sighting around the house was magnificent. The Japanese-style room and its futon were great, even during the very cold night of Hokkaido's winter. It's a true rural experience and I'm sure it's also a perfect stay for summer.
