Our stay at this traditional ryokan was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The room was immaculately clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing experience. Waking up to a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji right from our window was something we’ll never forget – truly magical. The communal kitchen was a lovely touch, thoughtfully stocked with breakfast essentials, tea, and coffee. We also loved watching wild deer wander by. There are bikes that are free to use and it’s only a 5-10 minute cycle to the nearest 7-eleven. We rented a car and were able to park directly outside. Other guests that we met didn’t have a car enjoyed walking to the nearest bus/ train station. The neighbour is quiet and very safe. What made our stay even more special was the owner. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, going above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. His hospitality added such a personal and warm touch to our visit.

I never felt so well treated by a hotel!!! They took a Polaroid d picture and gave it us with a letter. I’m also pregnant and they gifted us with vitamin C, and chopsticks for both of us and the future baby! The facility is veeery clean, very close to the station and Hana and Satori, the owners, couldn’t be any sweeter!!!! We loooved our stay here!

Gorgeous small house in a fantastic location very close to mount Fuji. The owner and her cute dog are both amazing, and very helpful when we ran into a hiccup with our rental car. The house really feels like a home away from home and is very comfortable. It has its own toilet but a shared bathroom just steps across from the house through a small landscaped garden.

Great stay in Fujikawaguchiko! The staff are very responsive both online and in person (you can call staff using a button within the accommodation). Our room was spacious and the futons were comfortable. I liked the shared bath (you can lock the doors for privacy), which has 2 showers, faucets in the middle that you can fill a bucket with (very hot and cold water), and a big bath with hot water. The price was also excellent given that we went in mid-November when the foliage was beautiful. We especially liked that we could rent bikes from the property- 2 regular (500 yen each) and 2 electric (2,000 yen each) for the whole day. The owner personally informed us about each of the features on the property and was kind enough to give us a ride back to Kawaguchico station before our bus left. The location is good, in a residential area not too far from a pretty area of the lake, 7 min walk from 7/11 and some of the most local restaurants I've been to (the owner will inform you about them when you get there). Overall, the attention to detail and making us feel welcome was fantastic- I'd stay here again!

This was the best accommodation during our Japan trip! It had everything we needed and more. We liked our tatami room, the futons were comfortable, there were enough bathrooms and toilets, fridge, toiletries, etc. The whole guesthouse was very clean and quiet. Perfect location too - only two minute walk from the bus/train station but on a quiet side street. Price is very reasonable for this area.
