We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse! Everything was clean and cozy, and the atmosphere was truly relaxing. Chiyo-san was incredibly hospitable and kind—she made us feel right at home. We would definitely love to come back!

It was a short but amazing stay!! Owner is super friendly and always up for a talk.. room, bathroom,kitchen everything was clean and very nice.. room was available way before check in time.. and could enter before😊 was very kind.. location is good.. near public transport and Higashi Chaya district.. castle and park are not too far as well.. breakfast was delicious too.. and the presence of Gaoo the dog a plus😊 i would definetly stay here again! Thank you!!!

My first tatami and futon experience, which was the start of my love for this way of sleeping. My room was very well decorated, I had little experience back then, but now I can confidently state it really represents the traditional side of Japan. This place is run by a very kind family, which really made me feel like I'm at home. Every amenity I needed was available. Breakfasts are available, and those are feast for both your eyes and stomach. You can also try local sake here, I recommend giving it a try. This place is localised further from castle grounds and Higashi Chaya but in a really calm, and climactic neighbourhood, which more than makes up for it.

宿樽 is situated in Kanazawa, 700 metres from Myoryuji - Ninja Temple, 2.5 km from Kanazawa Station, and a few steps from Muro Saisei Kinenkan Museum.

I found the place great for exploring Kanazawa: you get an entire traditional Japanese house for yourself, in a quiet place despite being 20 minutes by foot from Kenroku-en garden and the castle, and at a very competitive price. It was extremely clean and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Peaceful and stunning location. Staff were kind and helpful. Thank you! Public transport wasn't great but they lent me a bicycle which got me everywhere and anytime.

Right from the moment of arrival the staff were nice and welcoming, reflecting the cozy atmosphere of the hostel. It's location is excellent - at a quiet neighborhood right besides the kanzawa station, within a walking distance between all the tourist attractions and shopping streets. Albeit being a small house, the common area is packed with a lot of anemnities like free soft drinks, towels, kitchen, Manga selection (English and Japanese), washing machine, clean bathroom and shower, and information about kanazawa. The atmosphere at the hostel itself was nice with friendly people. Do note, this is a hostel. Small rooms (yet comfortable), shared facilities, shared common area, and do expect to hear people speaking in the public area in the evening.

A recently renovated guest house located in Kanazawa, 町宿ニシノヤ features an open-air bath. A sauna is available for guests.
