It was well placed for sightseeing, easily reachable from the Matsue Station by bus. There are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance. Emi-san the owner, lives nearby and comes by every morning to give us the ideas for sightseeing and restaurants. Her English is excellent and she was really willing to help us enjoy the stay. She really made our stay in Matsue more pleasant.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the owner was so lovely and helpful. The beds were comfortable enough, AC worked well, and room and toilets/showers were clean. The toilet/showers were on a different floor, and there was only one shower, which could be a problem if the guest house was busy. It was a nice bonus being able to explore the surrounding areas by bicycle, and the location was great - close to the castle.

I loved staying in Yohaku. It is charming and calm, I gelft really good staying in this café - hotel. Kohei is a really nice host that makes you feel at ease and engages easily in conversation while making you the best hand drop coffee ! I would easily come back !

The host was extremely polite and helpful. I wouldn't be able to continue my bike touring journey without his help - for which I'm still deeply thankful. I hope you've got your rope back through the mail! Great couple of food options nearby and the neighbourhood is quiet. There is a garage with tools which was a wonderful addition for a biker.

Jock is a wonderful host, very giving with his time and tips. Made us takoyaki, which was yum!!! Parents found the chairs a bit hard (used to a sofa :) ), but it was fine. Location was fine, ten mins to at least 2 supermarkets and maybe 15 mins to main train station - easy to walk.
