Modern, clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful hosts that create a warm and serene atmosphere. We tried both the western and Japanese breakfasts and loved both.

This is a neat place to be. very comfortable, clean, easy navigation in JR nara station and kintetsu. Mr Kaede is always there to help and answer all my questions. He also bought me some boxes and packaging tape because I didnt have enough space in my luggage. my family and I enjoyed our stay here in Nara. we will definitely be back and stay here again.

Very close to train station. Many excellent restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. Walking distance to Nara Park.

Free juice water tea and coffee with biscuits

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful showing us around the property. Our room was spacious and comfortable for the two of us. Ambiance was nice I loved how you can hear the birds chirping outside and the water trickling when it rained. The kitchen was very nice to keep our food in. Shower and bathroom was pleasant and kept clean.

Location: The location is absolutely perfect, as you are right next to the entrance to Nara Park complex (including Todai-ji, Kōfuku-ji, Kasuga-taisha, and several museums). The main tourist shopping streets of Sanjo-dori and Higashimuki are also within your immediate vicinity, but due to being just a block over, you're still in a quiet and peaceful location without hearing any of the bustle of the masses. There are cafes, restaurants and convenience stores all around the hostel as well, so all your basic needs will definitely be covered. Room: The room was clean and contained all necessary essentials to make the stay comfortable. Staff: Staff was very helpful and attentive. If you needed something during your extended stay, you could always approach and get immediate help. Only limitation might be, that staff didn't seem to be at this hostel as much as at their other location (Nara Deer Hostel), so you might have to message or call them first - to which they do respond quickly, though. Kitchen: The kitchen was small, yet sufficient. All the essential cooking ware and tools are there, and you should have enough space in the refrigerator for your groceries as well. Lounge area: The lounge area is a bit small, with it only being a table with about 4 seats and a bar seating area looking out the window for another 2 guests or so. Still, it's nice and you can get some work done there or just have a conversation with some of the other guests. At least in our experience, there was never a lack of seats when we wanted to sit in the lounge area. Noise: Surprisingly, a lot of the other reviews mention that it's very loud in the hostel, and that the soundproofing is so bad that you're constantly surrounded by noise, especially from other guests. Some even point out that they could barely sleep due to the noise. We didn't have any issues like that whatsoever, and the hostel was definitely not even close to being empty when we were there.
