Mitsue Kinoshita is an elderly lady and manages everything! She uses a tablet to translate everything in your native language. Everything was uncomplicated and gave off the feeling of staying at your japanese grandma in her traditional japanese house with her beautifukly maintaines garden amd ourdoor earea. The dinner (in yukata) was an amazing variation with hida beef as the main star. You grill it yourself on a little charcoal grill. Finally, the onsen. Absolutely amazing! Indoor and outdoor, open 24h (because it is a hot spring^^). She even has a onsen foot bath on the terrace. Of note, the toilets are shared and the bathroom are the indoor and ourdoor onsen.

The ambiance is really cozy and relaxing. Very clean; well maintained. The jacuzzi really made the difference. The place is very private, you have the whole floor for yourself. Love that they have 1 parking reserved for guests plus free bike rental. Highly recommend this place.

Everything. Especially our hosts, the loveliest giggly couple who absolutely went out of their way to make us happy. Our room was compact but very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, especially the salad. An easy walk to Everything the town has to offer. Hida folk village is well worth a visit.

I have low expectation for this hotel as the picture on Booking is not attractive. while this might be one of the best hotels during this time's visit in Japan. The tatami is very comfortable. The living room/kitchen/tea...everything is thoughtful. I love their kitchen. You could buy some foods in a supermarket nearby to prepare for yourselves.
