It is simple, yet love everything and every moment there! The lady who runs the guest house is extremely nice and helped me book the boat when my initial plan went wrong. I felt home and I also made good friends there. The airport and a supermarket are close by, just 5 minute walk. Free washing machine which is a plus after doing a hike. She helped me plan all my hikes and because of her I managed to do the 3 main hikes on the island in my 3 days on Yakushima. I have never had a greater host at a guesthouse.
