Clive and Chryshanthie were both very welcoming and always went out of their way to ensure I felt at home. Room was very nice and close proximity to some nice hikes and waterfalls. Highly recommend.

We stayed here on our way to Ella whilst on a cycle tour. We had an exceptionally warm welcome and were given a fabulous meal in the evening - the best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka (and there’s been plenty!). It’s a lovely peaceful spot and there was plenty of wildlife to see from the terrace.

Nilowin is run by two brothers which are very pleasant persons. Our room was nicely decorated for our honeymoon. The cooking class my wife took was superb! Overall it was a nice stay, I wished we could stay longer :)

Exceptionally clean and modern room for a given price. Shower with a door, enough towels, toiletries and beautiful view if you wake up early enough before a mist comes. The lady who takes care of the facilities is very kind, gave me a lot of tips of how to move around and organised a tuktuk tour for the morning. Also she cooks delicious rice and curry. Highly recommend staying here.

My stay at Thumb Up was truly special! Ghanty made me feel really welcome and at home, the atmosphere is one of familiality and kindness towards their guests. The room was clean and very comfortable, perfect to settle in after a long day of exploring Haputale and the beautiful nature around it with a scooter you can rent directly from them. Watching the sunset from the roof terrace overlooking the tea plantations and hills really rounded off every day and made my stay even more enjoyable.
