We only stayed for one night but we immediately felt so welcome as soon as we entered the house. The family is super kind and does everything for you to enjoy your stay. They cooked the most amazing and authentic dinner for us and we even got a ride the next morning very early for us to be able to catch our train! Thanks to everyone <3

This Villa is a wonderful place, hidden from the busy city of Kandy but just 15’ by tuk tuk to the lake and the Tooth temple The room is huge, clean and nicely decorated…the owner is the artist :) Bathroom is perfect with hot water There is a garden in front of the room very quiet. The family is very attentive and kind, hard workers to make you comfortable. Thanks again to Chloe for her wonderful smile 🥰

This place its awesome. Yusith ( the Son) organises everything and has impeccable communication skills, helping us with a range of things including a phone repair and organising a very friendly and reliable tuk tuk driver (Sampath). Just message Yusith with any questions you have. He knows all the attractions and things to do around Kandy. They had Sampath in his tuk tuk waiting for us at the train station when we arrived! no stress. Vajira ( the Mum) is an amazing cook. The Sri Lankan breakfast included in the room rate is first class. Each day a different breakfast. String Hoppers, Coconut Rotis with eggs, some salad, fresh fruit and of course local tea. All local foods. The dinners are next level - You get an assortment of vegetables and chicken or fish. All at a rate much cheaper than down in town and I think better quality as well. Needless to say, I learnt the Sinhalese words for "very tasty food" - "Kaama Rasai" and also "full belly"- "Bada pirila". Thanks for the language lessons! Downtown Kandy can be a bit polluted, noisy and in your face but once you get back home up on the hill at Lalanga Homestay it is cool, quiet and peaceful. Squirrels in the trees too. A perfect place to take respite. We loved this place and stayed longer than we originally planned, we will be back...

we had an amazing stay. only two nights but we wished to stay more. extremelly clean, amazing views and incredible terrace. The owner is very kind and makes you feel like home.     It's a very very charming boutique hotel. It has an Italian design. The manager speaks good English and knows what hospitality is. He organised everything for us, was genuine interested and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is also good. And it's easy in this hotel to also meet other travellers (with families). The views from the hotel are stunning, it's a little bit out of the city center but therefore also nice and quiet.

    The lake view and quiet location are delightful in the morning. The guest house thrives primarily due to its two fantastic hosts, who took excellent care of me. Enjoying a beer and discussing politics with them was a warm and welcoming experience. The recommended dance show is truly worth attending, even though the audience is predominantly white.

    Our two hosts were remarkably friendly, attentive and helpful. While the accommodation is located on the outskirts of Kandy (and is thus very quiet - a big plus in our opinion), the city centre and all the major sights are easily reachable by tuktuk. Our corner room with a balcony had a beautiful view over the river and the surrounding countryside. The breakfast - especially the fresh fruit - was delicious, varied and more than we could eat.
