I can't wait to write this review, because the efforts of the owners of this hotel deserve such praise. The experience was beyond expectation, the accommodation was very beautiful, the room was very clean and tidy, the owner was very warm, he would take us to see the fireflies at night, it made me feel like staying at a friend's house. It's comforting to have a healthy and delicious breakfast in the green. They offer free bikes to get around town and also offer inexpensive airport transfers. If you are coming to Negombo and you are tired of the sameness of luxury hotels, I highly recommend you to come here and experience it

We stayed in Funwhales Rest House for the last our night in Sri Lanka before the flight back home. The hotel is at very good location - in the very center of Negombo, close to all bars and restaurants and Negombo beach. The place met all our expectations - it looked modern, new comfortable and clean. We chose a Deluxe Double room because it had a terrace - not big but enough balcony with table ant chairs for two people. Our flight was at 7:40 a.m., so we had to leave about 5 a.m. and the host had prepared us a take out breakfast. We were very happy about that as our flight was delayed for 3,5 hours. The owner arranged us a tuk tuk transfer to the airport at compatible price, so we did not have to worry about that. We really enjoyed the stay and recommend the place!

Anton received us super warmly. He's a chill, easy going and very friendly person. Makes you feel at home immediately and is there for whatever question you have. This accomodation is very clean. The bed was confortable and the shower had warm water. The breakfast was very tasty. Internet was also working in the room. The owners were very nice and helpfull. They helped me with money changing, so I had a good exchange rate. They also oganised for me a AC bus to Anurathapura. I could leave a part of ma luggage in their house. I will return not only because of my luggage. I definitely can recommand this place.
