It was a very clean and beautiful accommodation. The garden has a mango tree and we even saw some monkeys. A few steps away is a local vegetable and fruit market, we enjoyed. Breakfast and dinner was amazing! It was cooked by the hosts. They even helped us to buy something we lost on our journey and what is very hard to get in this area of Sri Lanka. Additionally we got great sight seeing insides. This guest house was.perfect for us.

Our stay at Lake Cabin in Polonnaruwa met all our expectations. The host was extraordinarily friendly and understanding. The view from the balcony looking over the lake was mesmerizing. Lady owner was very friendly, she offer us help with booking trips around and get for us tuk tuk for very early morning leave and her cooking skills were amazing, lot of delicious Sri Lankan food.

Very clean room, exceptional breakfast and host family. WiFi,warm water, water pressure and A/C worked perfectly. You can also eat dinner at the hotel. It is just a 5mins walk from the lake promenade where we watched beautiful sunsets. 10mins bicycle ride to the maingate of the ancient sights, 5min to the museum and ticket office. Can rent bicycle at the hotel as well. we loved our stay

the owners were really nice and very helpful. the surroundings were beautiful and not far from the historical sites. the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. the hosts helped to organise a brilliant safari with a great guide (we saw loads of elephants)
