Exceptional and unique. Service and cleanliness was impeccable. The room itself is very spacious, and at a comfortable temperature despite the heat outside. Piyanth, our host, was friendly and accomodating. Highly recommended - the sort of experience you will not find in any hotel or resort. We were pleasantly surprised, and the very high rating is well deserved.

Aathma is a feast for the eyes and the heart. The setting is so lovely with lake views and peaceful gardens. As others have said there is always something new, beautiful or quirky to catch your eye. The hotel feels like a treasured family home in which you are an honoured guest. The staff are excellent, so professional and competent but friendly and fun as well. Bohoma stoothi Imran and Geeth for your outstanding care of us. The food was also some of the best we have had in Sri Lanka.

Had a great stay at this place. Actually, the best place to stay while extending your visa:passport office is just 600 m away. It is a nice quite area close to Colombo center. Not on the noisy steer but still close to shops and other facilities. Hot water in the shower, good WiFi. The owner is super friendly and helpful, such a great guy. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at The Colombo House and had a great experience. The place was clean, comfortable, and located conveniently. What truly made my stay memorable was the kind uncle who was working there. He was incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed, and made me feel very welcome throughout my stay.     Great host. Really helpful in nature, peaceful location, a bit farther away from main attraction area of Colombo, a bike/scooter/tuk tuk/bus needed for commuting between Galle face, Pettah, Fort area. Great budget option. Really homestay like feeling, finally stayed there for more than one instances, the owner became a friend, still in connection with her. Without a word she agreed to keep our luggage when we were out of Colombo for further journey. Would like to repeat the same option of staying here.

    Shiranthi is a lovely host. She gave us a lot of useful information and made us tea every morning. The location is a little outside of Colombo but reachable very easily and cheap by local bus. It felt like home for 3 nights. We would definitely recommend

    My room at Shiranthi Guest House was very peaceful and was spacious and comfortable. Shops and transport were an easy walk away through a pretty neighbourhood, and the owner was particularly kind. This is a quiet, inexpensive, and convenient place to stay in Colombo.

    The host is just extremely nice! Thanks to her, it feels more like a home rather than guesthouse. Place is close to everything you might need, within 10-15 minutes ride to majority of places. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe.
