Coming down the B35 from Ella in our own tuktuk, we booked Safari Lodge Yala in Katharagama as our seventh accommodation on 25-27 March during our 15-day road trip, because of its proximity to the northern entrance to Yala NP. We were greeted with much enthusiasm by Savinda, who assigned us to the "Woodpecker" room. Nice and spacious with and en-suite bathroom. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, just like the pineapple juice with a scoop of ice cream. A private safari was arranged for us by the accommodation with service partner Onadi Yala Safari. Location in jungle few km outside Kataragama, Beautiful Romantic Naturel Clay House quiet place - very clean big room, nice fancy bathroom separate also clean and nice design. They've made everything for nature products wich is wonderfull. The Lady Host gives very good service hospitality she is kind friendly helpfull. Lasanthe (husband) has tuktuk and drive you in very friendly way. I like to come again and reccommend high on the list. From Lady I got some tea and fruits

Lovely host family. Upon arrival they were quick to offer us tea and biscuits, setting up a table outside our room. We had a lovely discussion with them in the evening, and they gave us mangos and bananas from their tree :)

We had a great time at Lake Near. The owner was super helpful and kind. He prepared us the breakfast "to go" before 5 am as we had planed safari in Yala National Park. Highly recommended. <3

I recently enjoyed a brief but fantastic stay at I Stayed Hotel. The staff's hospitality was top-notch, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.
