I can’t recommend this place enough. Beautiful views, hot showers, extremely comfortable bed & spacious room, delicious breakfast and tea provided all day. We ended up staying 3 nights instead of 1. It was the perfect lake & community experience. Leo & his family are extremely welcoming, kind, accommodating and truly give you a magical experience and look in on their life on the lake. If you want an authentic, unique, interesting experience with delicious home cooked food, relaxation, and luxury for an extremely reasonable price this is the place to go. Leo organised a tour for us to go to the island and also took us on a tour around the lake showing us how they build the islands then to a different little island. He showed us the little shops on the lake, took us for his morning collection of fish and taught us some of his native language. It was the best part of our trip and we’re so grateful to have had this experience.

As shown in the pics, it is super clean and comfortable room, clean towels and they provide shampoo and soap which is a big bonus as lots of hotels in Peru didnt provide shampoo and also great breakfast! Besides, in general Peru is very noisy due to lots of stray dogs barking outside, but our room is not facing the street, but inward toward another building, so it is very quiet, the most comfortable night ever since I came to Peru. I really have a very good sleep here! and it is like 8 minutes walk toward the bus station and city center. very good location. highly recommended!

Jose went above and beyond to help us out whilst we stayed here! Was super communicative, and helped us order taxis to the bus station early in the morning, looked after our bags whilst we went on an overnight tour on the lake and so much more! Showers were hot, and beds super comfy! We had the breakfast before our early morning tour which was also great. Would highly recommend staying here :)

The owner and staff at Maya Inn are very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and the breakfast was delicious. What I love most is the sincere smile and help from each of them. Right below the Maya Inn is a lively market. No matter morning or evening, you can buy a lot of delicious local food just like the locals. This is the best way to experience the life of the locals. Btw, although this hotel is located in a busy area, it was not noisy at all and I had a great sleep at night.

The room is cozy and not too cold (for Peruvian standards in winter). The host was incredibly kind, he helped us by keeping our backpacks all day long and with recommendations. Breakfast was also rich and tasty.

the place was really clean. you get a properly hot shower with nice towels. breakfast is nice with lots of fresh fruits. the staff was incredibly helpful and nice. we had to extend one day because of visa issues and that was no problem at all… they even let us use their computer and printer! cannot recommend enough.

Very hospitable hosts!! We arrived and they made us hot chocolate, then served us personally for breakfast outside of their usual breakfast hours as we had an early tour. Very welcoming.

Everything was great. Good location, clean room, hot shower and amazing lake view. Host was very helpful and even gave me personal thermos with hot water so I can drink tea in my room. I really enjoyed my short stay there.
