We had an amazing and relaxing time. Marta and Marek are such thoughtful and kind hosts, and we especially liked Marta's amazing coffee and award-winning baking. Better than the shops!!! Beautiful garden where we loved sitting, especially in the egg seats, with a lovely view of the lake as well as the varied sunsets. A different photo each day. Marek has lots of good ideas for trips out and there are kayaks and high-end electric (and normal) bikes to hire. Another time we just might, but it was lovely having the option. Our main aim though was to just chill and wander after a busy few months . We spent lots of time just wandering back and forwards in the forest. The Genius ceramics shop in Chmielno is worth a look. As well don't miss the Carthusian church in Kartuzy, with its pendulum and coffin- shaped roof. I(Peter) loved the option, a five minute walk away, to swim in the lake. And the comfortable beds. We love comfortable beds. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, as well as the friendly guests. A perfect antidote to busy London life. P.S do visit the mad castle 200 metres up the road
