Eddie is a great host, helpful and attentive, looks after his guests, making sure that they have everythig.. He helped us grill our fresh fish, actually he did most of the job, using his own herbs and spices, teaching us how to make a real Creole-style grilled fish. We used the acquired knowledge all over our stay on the Seychelles, having fun and delicious food. Thanks Eddie

Once we arrived at the property, we had a really warm welcome from Maria. Maria is such a sweet person, gave us lots of information about the area and different walks we could do. Always greeted us with a smile, laugh and fun talks! The property itself has amazing views all over Beau Vallon, a little walk uphill, but TOTALLY worth it! You may have a shared kitchen where you can cook yourselves, our own room was really big and clean.

Our host Rupert is just great. Help you with everything, even about renting car, wich is important So, apartment at first flor is 10/10. Clean, one kingsize bed + 2 aditional beds for kids/adults. AC works fine, warm wather in shower all the time works. Even the kitchen has basic things for cooking. Balcony is great spot for coffe at morning. Everything about the apartment was great. Location is PERFECT. Markets/food/bus station/beach - evertything is like there. When you're exploring about Seychelles be careful, some beatufull beaches on south is great, but everything is too far. Just stay near the Beau Vallon, rent a car for few days and ask Rupert about tips, and you will have a great holiday. 😁👋🇸🇨

The place was cute, well maintained. Its is situated far from the road and has a tranquil pool area hidden between luch garden. The view from the villa was amazing as well. Our host Roland is an amazing person and very outgoing as well. He was very keen on making our stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. The staff is utmost friendly and super helpful. We had a nice room that was comfortable and clean. They offered us extra towels for when we wanted to go swimming and a breakfast to go as we needed to leave before the breakfast was being served, we really appreciated that. We also enjoyed a very nice dinner in the restaurant. We really had a lovely stay.

Booking online is always a bit of a gamble, but the Forest Lodge is exactly as promised. All the photos are legit and it is indeed a very cozy guest house a bit away from all the noise, except for the many animal sounds from the surrounding beautiful forest. What we valued most while staying there for 12 nights was first of all the outstanding kindness and helpfulness of the manager and his staff. We were even lucky enough to have been offered a dinner, which was absolutely fantastic. As mentioned, we were very happy with the ambient and the abundance of space in the room/studio. Siting on the balcony and drinking your favorite morning/evening drink while watching birds and fruit bats flying all around is as good as it gets. We were surprised how well the staff maintain clean and tidy rooms as well as the surroundings of the house. We were also a big fan of the in-house drinks fridge, which is self-service. The only thing that could see some improvement in my opinion is the kitchenette. It is useful, but very basic. The stove is painfully slow. A gas stove or induction plate would be a superb upgrade. For some people, it should be noted, that there is quite a walk to the beach. There is a small local beach, but it is not as nice as the main one in Beau Vallon and it is not extremely close either. That said, we had no problem walking every day and using the bus. There is plenty of bus stops all around and it is a good way to explore the island. From the lodge to the main road is about 8-10 minutes walk, and a further 1 minute to the bus stop and another 2 minutes to the closest shop. The local beach is around 10-15 minutes of walking and the Beau Vallon beach is around 30 minutes of walking. If this is a problem for you, rent a car. There is free parking at the lodge.
