We had a wonderful time at Chez Sofia. Mounte and Mamadou were so warm and hospitable, and the place itself is a tranquil escape from the busy streets of central Saint Louis (which is still easily accessible by taxi or bus). The kitchen facilities are great and the rooms are clean. We will definitely be returning... we fell in love with the pace of Chez Sofia life!

We had a very pleasant stay at Maison d’hôtes Niokobokk. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, and offers cozy, comfortable beds. We especially enjoyed the lovely pool, the delicious food, and the warm, welcoming hospitality from the hosts – you feel at home right away. The direct access to the beach is a real highlight. Highly recommended!

The location is great, there are little shops, banks and the big supermarket in the vicinity. The room is clean, bright and spacious. Well, the others are a bit smaller and have the bathroom inside. Mine was big, but with the private bathroom outside. And the owner Lani is a bliss. He is extremely helpful, there is nothing he would not be willing to help you with. The communication with him prior to arrival was absolutely great. He speaks French, English and Spanish fluently. He walked an older gentleman to the bank, he explained everything about the tours, transportation, how to get to certain places and the last day he even brought us to the main terminal with his car. It happened that we were 4 people from different rooms that left on the same day.

Great location, just a short walk over the bridge to the colonial part of St. Louis and not far from the supermarket and restaurants. Good WiFi. Hot water. Lino was very helpful and friendly, answered all our questions right away and is an English teacher, so we appreciated being able to communicate in English. Also it was nice to have breakfast included and a common kitchen where we could cook in the evenings.
