The accommodation is located in Uçhisar which is very close to Goreme (10 minutes drive), but not as touristic as Goreme, which was very pleasant and exactly what we wanted. Just 5 minutes walk from the hotel is the castle, which was very nice visiting. The breakfast was the best we had in all our 12 day trip in Turkey! Seriously, they bring you so much food - mostly all local stuff, very very tasty, very nice relaxing atmosphere sitting on the terrace of the hotel with the sun shining on you and the kitchen stuff was just perfect. And the gem of this hotel is definitely the owner Riza - he was so helpful - he managed to get us the balloon tickets (which were almost all sold out) for a reasonable price for the next day and he gave us detailed advice on what to see around in the area. He even took his time and draw us a little map to help us out. I wish every accommodation would have a "concierge/owner" like Riza! Riza is the best :)

Great hotel with attractive prices, really nice staff, the rooms were comfortable and very good breakfast. If you are worried about not being in goreme, don’t worry because there is a bus every 30 min which costs ~1euro. If you take into account the difference of the hotel’s prices between the two cities it’s very profitable. I can only recommand the Kemal Stone Hotel!!

The staff were incredible! They went above and beyond for us. They organised our transport to and from the airport and they helped us put on a load of washing there, even thought this isn't a service they provide. Breakfast was lovely- homemade jam was a stand out! Rooms were cosy.

Cappanar cave hotel was really good. It looked and felt exactly as shown in the pics. Living in this cave hotel gave us the vibe of living in a different era. Please be mindful that it's not situated in the city centre of Goreme, but a good 20 mins drive from there - a place called Nar. But the drive is worth it. The owner was very helpful. He arranged a car for us from/to Goreme bus station for pick up and drop off. He also helped us sort out the hot air balloon tickets. We booked the red tour with his help, but no offense to him, the guide was pathetic, and we had a very bad experience with the guide. Please make sure that you are not booking that guide for any of your customers. The food, prepared right in front of us, was amazing and the best we had in Turkey. We would definitely recommend this place to those who want an authentic Cappadocia experience.

Walnut House totally exceeded my expectations! After a long, freezing 14-hour bus ride from Istanbul, I finally arrived in Cappadocia, safe and sound. The host was incredibly welcoming and let us check in early with no hassle, which was a lifesaver after such a tiring journey. The moment we settled into our room, all the tiredness from the trip melted away. The place is tucked away between a spa and a restaurant, just a short walk from the bus station, shopping spots, and plenty of dining options. It doesn't really look like a typical hotel from the outside—it feels more like staying in a cozy, warm home. One of the highlights was the hot air balloon ride. The owner kindly helped us book a sunrise flight with Brothers Hot Air Balloon at a great price, and it was an amazing experience! Floating above the stunning Cappadocia landscape was like a dream come true. I really wished I could’ve stayed longer to enjoy more of their wonderful hospitality. The staff was so friendly and helpful—they made us feel right at home. If I ever visit Cappadocia again (and I definitely hope I do!), Walnut House will be my go-to spot.
