The host is super super nice… they helped us to buy the bus tickets from Tashkent to Almaty, and also help us to exchange money in the bank. They are always helpful, friendly and try to make us most comfortable during our stays.

Lovely hotel walking distance from Itchan Kala - 2 mins. Family run and they go out of their way to help with everything. Catered for my baby son got milk, washed my bottles etc happily without any problems. Clean room and bathrooms. Made whatever we asked for breakfast. Arranged airport pick up through them which was smooth. Can’t complain and would stay here again. Please note they do not have a card machine . So either cash or bank transfer. However when we tried to bank transfer there was no account number or IBAN so had to go to atm and get cash, luckily the machine had enough . So I do feel cash is most sensible option .

Shodlik House is just a few steps away from the iconic Kalta Minor minaret. Our twin bed room faces parts of the Itchan Kala ancient city walls. Daniel, the host, and his family kept the guest house very clean. There is free water dispenser and a large sitting area in the house. We could walk a mere 2 minutes to Kalta Minor for the sunrise or walk back leisurely after sundown. Daniel can help to arrange a 1 or 2-day tour into Turkmenistan. The breakfast provided was very hearty, .more than what we would have expected, and very fresh and delicious. We saw how Daniel & his family changed each room bedsheets & towels carefully - a great assurance of how well they maintain the hygiene in their guesthouse even when most guests stayed just one night in Khiva. Thank you Daniel & family for a very comfortable stay in Khiva!

Very nice little family-run guest house. Perfect location. Very clean. Delicious breakfast, they even went out of their way to adjust it to our fussy children. Also the family had no problem welcoming us early in the morning as our train arrived early. Absolutely great experience.

The family was so friendly and helpful.I really enjoyed my stay in Bukhara thanks to them. Almost tourist tend to stay inside of the fortress but l prefer this guesthouse. Because I could stay more peaceful and calmly thanks to silent atmosphere around this guesthouse. And l could see lives of people on the street at neighborhood. Needless to say their breakfast was also awesome. I recommend you to stay here if you think of trip for Bukhara.
